Essential Care Guidelines

Divinity Hair Co. extensions are designed for professional use. Improper installation can compromise the integrity of the hair. These guidelines will help you maintain softness, blend, and longevity for the full lifespan of your install.

Pre-Install Prep

• Start clean. Always.
• Wash with a clarifying shampoo before installation.
• Condition mid-lengths to ends only. No heavy products at the root.

Daily Styling

• Use heat tools as needed to blend seamlessly with your natural hair.
• Always finish with a polished look.

Never Sleep With Wet Hair

• Wet hair equals tangling, matting, and damage.
• Dry it completely before bed. No exceptions.

Washing Schedule

• Less is more. Wash every 2 to 4 days.
• Use high-quality, sulfate-free products.
• Focus on hydration and bond repair to maintain longevity.

Leave-In Is Non-Negotiable

• After every wash, apply a lightweight leave-in conditioner through mid-lengths and ends.
• This keeps the hair soft, manageable, and performing like it should.

Brush Daily

• Morning. Night. After washing.
• Use a professional extension brush and always support the weft or bond while brushing.
• Be gentle. This isn't the time to be aggressive.

Oily Hair? Adjust, Don't Overwash

• Use dry shampoo to refresh between washes.
• If needed, wash only the top section of your natural hair. No need to soak everything.

Color Services

• Divinity hair is designed to perform, but color at your own risk.
• We do not recommend lightening.
• All color services should be performed by a licensed stylist.

Swimming and Water Exposure

Water can be rough on extensions. Protect your investment.

Before You Swim

• Saturate your hair with clean water and apply a deep conditioner. This creates a protective barrier, helping prevent chlorine and salt from penetrating the hair.

Secure Your Hair

• Wear hair in a low ponytail or loose braid.

After You Swim

• Immediately rinse, apply leave-in conditioner, and gently brush through the hair.

Maintenance Schedule

For best results, book extension maintenance every 6 to 8 weeks to maintain placement, tension, and overall integrity of the install. Schedule maintenance at Divinity Beauty Lounge or with your trusted licensed extension stylist.

With proper care, Divinity Hair Co. extensions last 6 to 12 months. The schedule, at-home routine, and styling habits all play a role in how long your install performs at peak.
